Egypt : OCI bags $87m concession to construct a new airfield at the HURGHADA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) has won a $87m contract to construct a new airfield at the Hurghada International Airport in Egypt.
The contract was awarded by the Egyptian Airports Company (EAC).
Scope of the project includes construction of an entire airfield with a 4km-long runway, a 4km-long taxiway, connecting taxiways, along with all airfield lighting, power supply, and storm water drainage systems.
Completion of the project is scheduled within 26 months.
