Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of industries around the world, has signed an agreement with Chevron Oronite, to offer analytical laboratory solutions from the Intertek Shanghai facility which significantly enhances Chevron Oronite\'s testing capabilities in China.
After completing a rigorous auditing process to confirm the Intertek laboratory fully meets Chevron Oronite standards for a testing facility, the Intertek Shanghai laboratory has been awarded the \"Oronite Qualification Certificate\". The facility, already in use, will enhance Oronite customer service to customers in China and support ongoing in-country field testing programs.
Jirong Xiao, Vice President for Technology, Chevron Oronite, said \"The addition of the Shanghai testing facility is part of a longer term strategy for China that supplements Chevron Oronite\'s other technical support and research network around the world, including our technology center in Japan, which has a full range of laboratory and engine test facilities. Globally, Intertek oil condition monitoring testing programs are offered specifically to help clients identify early threats of failure from engine and power equipment, avoiding critical operational downtime.
