American Technology Services, Inc. (ATS™) and Confluence announced today that ATS has completed an agreement to acquire Confluence Corporation’s network support and infrastructure services business. This transaction will allow Confluence to focus on the company’s core IT consulting, Salesforce, and website design and development practices.

For ATS, the acquisition provides a boost to the economies of scale for its help desk and managed services business, while offering new opportunities for deeper penetration of ATS’ existing private cloud services.

We see immediately accretive financial results for our business, and we think the breadth and depth of our managed services and cloud capabilities will be of great interest to Confluence’s client base.”

The acquisition will further strengthen ATS’ position in the association and nonprofit market. This market has been a focus for ATS since the firm’s inception in 1994. Inc. magazine has named ATS to its Inc. 500/5000 for the last three years, and Washington Business Journal routinely lists the firm as one of the Top 25 Small Technology Companies. HighBank Advisors and Miles & Stockbridge acted as advisors for the transaction. Terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
