India : IRCON INTERNATIONAL signs MoU with CHHATTISGARGH GOVERNMENT for rail corridor

The construction division of the Indian Railways Ircon International, the Chhattisgarh government and the South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding at Raipur on 3 November, to construct around 300 km of rail corridor aiming at better transportation of coal.

The MoU features development of two rail corridors of a total of nearly 300 km in the northern part of the state which is expected to cost around Rs.4,000 crore.

To be called as East Corridor, Corridor-I, will be of 180 km from Bhupdevpur to Korba and the another corridor, to be known as East West Corridor, will be of 122 km from Gevra Road to Pendra Road via Dipka, Katghora, Sindurgarh and Pasan.
