Singapore : Cosco bags contract for two bulk carriers

SHIPYARD Cosco Corporation (Singapore) has landed its first newbuild contract since September.
Its 51-per-cent owned Guangdong shipyard will build two bulk carriers worth a combined US$41 million.
The pair of 35,000 deadweight tonne (dwt) bulk carriers will be delivered to a European customer in the second half of 2014.
Cosco Corp reported it won US$1.2 billion worth of orders in the three quarters of this yeark, a drop from US$1.9 billion worth in the same period last year.
