Sudan : EXECUTION for Darfur water project declared

The Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Transitional Darfur Regional Authority and the Ministry of Water Resources, Electricity and Dams,declared the upcoming implementation of a water project for Darfur, funded by the African Development Bank, Radio Dabanga learned on Tuesday Novemer 27.
Additionaly, the project will be implemented over a five year period.
Ali Mahmoud Abdul Rasoul, Minister of Finance, stated that the funding of this project will offer a fertile ground for peace in Darfur.
According to Abdul Camara, civil representative of the African Development Bank in Khartoum, the Darfur water project will build human as well as institutional capacity in the states of Darfur.
At the end of the current month, representative added that the opening is scheduled to take place.
