United States : $7M contract for BAE SYSTEMS MAYPORT

BAE Systems Mayport has received a contract to take up maintenance and repair work on the guided missile frigate USS Taylor.
The deal worth a $6.9 million includes hull, machinery, electrical, electronics and piping repairs.
As per the contract, the work is to be carried out in Jacksonville and scheduled for completion by April 2013.
The contract was awarded by the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center in Jacksonville which had received two offers for the work.
