United States : U.S. NAVY awards $13M contract to DEYTENS SHIPYARDS

North Charleston’s Deytens Shipyards has received a deal to overhaul the U.S. Naval Ship Zeus. The contract is worth a 13-million.
As per the contract, Detyens will be responsible to overhaul the vessel’s main propulsion motors; along with its forward and stern thrusters; and its pumps and sea valves.
Work will also be done for cleaning and painting of the ship’s hull.
The U.S. Navy has said that, a 513-foot Military Sealift Command Cable Repair Ship, Zeus is one of the 15 ships in Military Sealift Command\'s Service Support Program.
Completion of the work is scheduled by March 2013.
