China Environment Ltd on Friday said its wholly owned subsidiary, Fujian Dongyuan Environmental Protection Co Ltd has secured a contract worth 54 million yuan (S$10.5 million) to design, construct and install three units of electrostatic precipitators for the in-house thermal power plants of a non-ferrous metal plant.

The contract was secured with Xinjiang East Hope Non-ferrous Metal Co Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of large private enterprise East Hope Group Co Ltd.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2013, China Environment said.
