The French Development Agency (AFD) dedicated to the private sector, Proparco has entered into an agreement with the shareholders of the private College of Engineering and Technology (ESPRIT) in Tunisia for a stake of € 2 million (4 million dinars) within this institution.

Marie-Hélčne Loison, deputy general manager of Proparco, Tahar Ben Lakhdar and Naceur Amar, school leaders, and Aziz Mebarek and Karim Trade associate of Africinvest Tuninvest Group attended the signing ceremony.

ESPRIT, established in 2003, has become the first private institution in terms of figures with over 3,500 students during the year 2012-2013. ESPRIT trains mostly engineers working in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).

The school provides its students a double degree with the Universities of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis, Paris-Dauphine, Paris I Sorbonne and the Institute Mines-Télécoms.
