Brazil,Ghana : BRAZILIAN infrastructure company secures $100M project in GHANA

Brazilian infrastructure company Queiroz Galvao Construcao has secured a$100-million project to design and build a junction at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra and perform other ancillary works in Accra.
The project will notably cut traffic congestion in and around the Western Corridor of Accra.
Rosby Kome Mensah, the Chief Engineer in charge of Maintenance at the Department of Urban Roads (DUR) has said a detailed project report, would be ready by the end of March, 2013.
The project\'s ambit includes a detailed engineering design, the work to build the interchange, the construction of a road-over-rail bridge, upgrading the junction of the Ring Road at the Feo Eyeo Road and improvement of road drainage works.
A deal to implement the project, has already been inked between the Ghana and Brazil governments.
The loan is an export credit arrangement between the government and France-based PNB?Paribas , a mandated lead arranger, and the Queiroz Galvao Construcao of Rio de Janeiro under a Brazilian Official Equalisation Programme (PROTEX).
