Publish Date : 22-Jan-2013

Cebu Pacific Air has declared that its first flights to the Middle East will be launched on 7th OCT 2013, connecting Manila with Dubai.

This daily flights will be launch by the Philippine low-cost carrier between Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Dubai International Airport, using its new wide-body Airbus A330-300 aircraft. This aircraft will have 400 seats in a single, all-economy class configuration and in-flight Wi-Fi.

This would be first flight for Philippine Airlines to Middle East since 2010, followed by its withdrawal citing financial difficulties and stiff competition from Emirates and Etihad Airways.

Dubai will be CEB’s first long-haul destination and 36th international route. CEB has already ordered eight A330s, where first two anticipated to be delivered by leasing company CIT later this year, followed by two more in 2014.

Alex Reyes, General Manager of CEB\'s Long-Haul Division said that \"Dubai is the largest long-haul market to and from the Philippines, so CEB is proud to be the only Philippine carrier to fly direct between Manila and Dubai.\"

Alex Reyes added,“More than 70% of passengers on this route take multiple stops and connecting flights, so we definitely look forward to serving this market.”

Philippines and UAE (United Arab Emirates) signed a new air services agreement in 2012 regarding doubling the number of flights airlines from both countries can operate between Manila and the UAE.
