ASHGHAL to initiated projects worth $27.4bn over the next five years

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) of Qatar is likely to launch projects worth nearly $27.4bn over the next five years.
One of the latest project to be launched by Ashghal is the Inner Doha Resewerage Implementation Strategy (IDRIS) – a project worth $2.7bn to address Qatar\'s drainage problems for the next 50 years.
Ashghal had launched 221 projects worth $13.7bn during September 2012, which included repair and maintenance of highway structures, improving roads in different municipalities, cleaning projects, construction of commercial centres and complexes and traffic-flow improvement.
Eng. Nasser Ghaith Al-Kuwari, manager of Ashghal\'s Drainage Project department said, “To enable the nation to support the future socio-economic needs of the country, Ashghal has adopted a strategic and comprehensive approach to deliver some of Qatar\'s largest infrastructure projects.â€
