A strategic agreement was recently inked in Lagos between Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) and General Electric (GE) to collaborate on power, transportation and oil & gas projects.
Dangote Group said the strategic collaboration agreement was inked at a meeting with president of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote and GE Global chairman, Jeffrey Immelt.
The agreement covers the work to design, produce and sell GE aeroderivative gas turbine power generation packages in Nigeria and other chosen countries in Sub Saharan Africa, strategic collaboration in the independent power production industry in Nigeria with GE acting as a technical partner/potential investor and Dangote Group as financial investors.
The two partners will jointly invest in the modernization and development of modern railway infrastructure for Nigeria. Collaboration on projects in the oil and gas industry has also been agreed.
Aliko Dangote and Jeffrey Immelt are pleasured to ink the agreement between the two leading conglomerates to develop the infrastracture in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
The two officials voiced hope that the two firms would put expertise together to offer world class services in the provision of the infrastructures which African countries desperately need.
