Premium UK and international residential estate agency Hamptons International today announced an official corporate partnership with the UK’s leading cancer charity, Cancer Research UK. As part of the partnership Hamptons International is hoping to raise Ł100,000 for the charity by the end of 2013.

Staff at Hamptons International will partake in various fundraising events throughout the year to help reach the fundraising target such as Race for Life, night time walking marathon Shine and a companywide ‘Bake Off’. Employees will also be encouraged to spearhead their own local fundraising initiatives to raise awareness and help reach the overall target. Whilst leading local campaigns, charity ambassadors throughout Hamptons International will be taken on tours of Cancer Research UK’s laboratories so that they can gain a sense of the scientific research that underpins the organisation.

Marc Goldberg, Head of Sales at Hamptons International says: “Cancer Research UK is a charity which is already very close to our hearts. With one in three people affected by cancer during their lifetime it will be no surprise to hear that as a business we have many staff members that have been touched by the disease in one way or another. It is those individuals we have lost, those who are fighting the disease and all that have beaten it who have inspired us to partner up with Cancer Research UK and join in the fight to beat cancer for good!

With 70 sales branches, 50 lettings branches and a whole team of support staff everyone will be uniting across the business for a whole host of events, all in the name of raising money and awareness for Cancer Research UK!”

With 28 Hamptons International branches across the country located within a five minute walk of a Cancer Research UK charity shop, the links with the charity are synonymous. To capitalise on these links, staff at Hamptons International will be dedicating their time throughout the year to help in their local Cancer Research UK shop.

Staff will also be encouraging vendors, landlords and applicants to de-clutter their homes ahead of moving and donating their unwanted belongings to a local Cancer Research UK shop.
