AECOM has made another significant investment in its Europe business with the acquisition of Lend Lease\'s project and construction management operations serving the Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) market.
The 150-person group has an extensive portfolio of projects in core sectors, including commercial, retail, hospitality, health care, residential, industrial, airport, mixed-use and tall buildings. This development comes shortly after AECOM announced its acquisition of the Lend Lease team serving the BP Global Alliance in Europe.
Together with AECOM\'s existing program, project and construction management teams, the expanded construction services business has worked on numerous high-profile projects in the region, including The Crescent in Baku, Azerbaijan; the Ritz Carlton hotel in Moscow; the Peugeot Citroen and Mitsubishi automotive plant in Kaluga, Russia; and the CiTer Invest tower in Moscow.
Steve Morriss, Europe chief executive, AECOM, welcomed the Lend Lease team members, who come with a strong reputation. \"We are gaining a dedicated team of professionals who share our commitment to health, safety and customer service. They will help us grow in the five key sectors of commercial, sports, industrial, transportation and health care.\"
Both AECOM and Lend Lease have built their Russia businesses over a long period.
