Egypt : Negotiations with Pakistan to pump investments to manufacture long-staple cotton in Egypt

Ahmed Galal, head of the Board of Directors of the international business and investment (Apia) confirmed that the Assembly has to communicate with a large number of businessmen in Pakistan to pump new investments in Egypt, especially in the areas of textiles and petrochemicals.
He said that the visit of President Mohamed Morsi recent Pakistan strengthened cooperation on the economic level, he said during the first meeting of the Economic Commission Assembly that the Pakistani side offered Egypt import cotton long staple, which is characterized by Egypt cultivation, and revealed negotiations with some investors in Pakistan to pump investments, either directly orin partnership with the Egyptian private sector.
He pointed out that the Assembly and signed a number of cooperation agreements to enhance investor confidence in the Egyptian market again, as well as the representation of Egypt in the Business Owners Union countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which includes 57 countries
Dr. Khalid Khairat - Committee member - said that the coming period needs more efforts to restore investor confidence in the investment climate in Egypt, through the preparation of integrated studies on investment opportunities that would discover the investment climate again, along with a clear framework for the problems that we face in the economic arena, and practical solutions to these problems.
