United States : Aleratec Launches New Adapter Line Expanding Compatibility of Popular Hard Disk Drive Duplicators

Publish Date : 18-Apr-2013

Aleratec Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of professional-grade duplicators for hard disk drives, USB flash drives, shredders and optical discs, announced a new line of adapters to expand the compatibilities of its hard drive duplicators with other popular digital storage media such as Compact Flash (CF) cards, mSATA SSDs and 1.8-inch Micro SATA SSDs. Some adapters also allow certain duplicators to work with IDE drives or duplicators designed for 3.5" HDDs to work with 2.5" drives. This new line of compact and inexpensive adapters gives access to the powerful features of its hard drive duplicators for these other types of media.

"Our hard disk drive duplicators are designed for industry-standard SATA or SATA and IDE hard disk drives," notes Perry Solomon, Aleratec President and CEO. "However, there is a wide breadth of digital storage media that is not compatible with the most common SATA and IDE interfaces. These new adapters create a very simple solution for those seeking a duplicator for one of these alternative media types."

Used by some of the word's most prominent companies, Aleratec HDD duplicators streamline hard drive duplication and, depending on the model, can copy, compare and sanitize multiple hard disk drives in a matter of minutes. These time-saving duplicators are particularly useful for large-scale operations and for organizations that often reuse the same hard disk drives. Now, these same industrial-grade devices can be used for other popular types of storage media.

"With the rapid growth and evolution of new technologies like tablets and ultrabooks, new storage media options have also emerged," said Solomon. "We are very pleased to have extended our duplication technologies to cover some of these new storage media."

The new adapters combine with specific Aleratec hard disk drive duplicators for compatibility with media storage devices including 2.5" and 3.5" IDE Hard Disk Drives, 50mm mSATA SSDs, Compact flash (CF) cards, 1.8" MicroSATA SSD, 2.5" Hard Disk Drives and SSDs, and CFast Card.
