The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) of the US State Department has announced that it has granted a five-year contract worth $100 million to The Louis Berger Group (LBG) to get its assistance across the globe.

Adhering to the new task-order contract, LBG will deliver services in the engineering and architectural construction management sectors at embassy and consulate sites across the globe, counting the Middle Eastern region, for the period of next five years.

LBG's regional program and construction management business arm's Senior Vice-president - Jeffery Willis stated, "We're excited to be working with OBO as a prime contractor again."

Willis added, "We've had a very successful long-term working relationship with OBO through multiple contracts and we are happy to once again have the opportunity to continue providing quality services in support of their mission."

Since early 1990s, LBG has been assisting Foreign Buildings Operations, the predecessor entity of OBO as well as OBD.

Previously, the organization has delivered services like facility appraisals, maintenance strategies, architectural designs, engineering reviews, planning operations and construction management services in almost 50 countries in the world.
