China : China Mobile to start BUILDING 4G wireless service NETWORKS in Henan Province

China Mobile will build fourth generation (4G) wireless service networks in Henan Province in the second half this year. The country's largest telecom operator will start building 10,000 TD-LTE base stations to offer high-speed 4G telecom services in all the 18 cities and counties in the central province.
On May 15, China Mobile opened its first 4G service center in the provincial capital, Zhengzhou. The center allows potential customers to sample the 4G service. The company will build more such centers in the province by the end of August.
China Mobile has built 22,000 TD-LTE base stations in 15 cities and launched pilot services in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The company's 4G network will cover over 100 cities by the end of 2013.
The telecoms giant said that by the end of April, 17 TD-LTE networks were put into commercial around in the world, covering nearly 3 million users. Around 40 telecom operators have declared plans to develop TD-LTE services.
