Thales announces the launch of "Thales World 4U", a combined geolocation and augmented reality application for smartphones. The free app will be presented at the Paris Air Show, which opens on 17 June. Available in all of the Thales Group's 56 countries of operation, Thales World 4U is an innovative way to find job opportunities, discover the range of career paths that Thales offers, and access information about upcoming recruitment events as well a selection of the Group's products.

With the application's augmented reality feature, users can point the smartphone's video camera at places around them and pop-up windows appear on the screen to indicate possible Thales solutions as well as job offers in the vicinity. Clicking on these windows then brings up details about the solutions and the job openings available.

"Our aim is to recruit engineers and increase our visibility with them in our target countries," said Corinne Laberty, Director of Professional Development. "To attract them, Thales World 4U highlights the Group's technological excellence by showcasing Thales solutions in a range of areas, such as Eutelsat satellites, rail and air traffic management, radars and underwater sensors."
