China,Spain : HUAWEI signed service pact for network maintenance with VODAFONE SPAIN

Huawei, a Chinese global networking and telecommunications equipment and services company, has announced that the world's largest telecom gear maker has inked a five-year deal with the Vodafone Spain, which is headquartered at Alcobendas in Madrid, for the field and civil maintenance in addition to supervision of the Vodafone mobile and DSL access networks in Spain during the contract period.

Huawei, which is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, will be responsible for the protective and curative maintenance of the mobile access network infrastructure and telecommunications equipments, comprising 2G, 3G and access transmission equipment, the majority of which are Huawei-made, along with the DSL telecommunications equipment.

Under the latest deal, the Chinese giant will also offer management and maintenance services to all mobile access network future equipment, together with the infrastructures of other companies.

The agreement amid Huawei and Vodafone Spain will also see Huawei assuming all of the jobs that are earlier accomplished by numerous companies.

Huawei will carry out these tasks via deployment of an expert squad, comprising 103 present staff of Vodafone Spain. These employees will now be the component of Huawei's team.

Huawei became the largest telecommunications equipment maker in the world in last year, overthrowing Ericsson.
