Publish Date : 18-Jun-2013

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) was recently awarded several new contracts valued more than $100 million from foreign customers.

IAI will upgrade a special mission aircraft with its Electronic Support Measures and Electronic Intelligence (ESM/ELINT) system, and will supply its best-selling maritime patrol radar (MPR) and communication intelligence (COMINT) systems.

At the 50th Paris Air Show, which opens tomorrow (June 17, 2013), IAI will present its game-changing capabilities, all part of the newly offered "Total Solutions" concept that will be demonstrated in an all-inclusive video presentation.

These "Total Solutions" are based on IAI's world leading ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) systems, advanced command and control systems with sophisticated networks, and integrated active defense missiles and precision strike weapon systems.

Joseph Weiss, IAI's president & CEO said: "to confront today's threats, a comprehensive solution is needed, combining platforms, sensors, weapons and command & control systems. Our "Total Solutions" concept enables our customers to know everything that happens immediately and precisely so they can make the right decisions and act effectively."

For the first time in Paris, IAI will display the Taxibot, an advanced robotic system that will revolutionize airport ground operations. TaxiBot is a pilot-controlled vehicle, designed to transport airplanes from the airport gate to the runway.
Additionally, IAI will unveil its new generation of compact 3D High Frequency (HF) Direction Finder system for various platforms, installed on an IAI-made Heron unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Visitors at the IAI exhibition will be introduced to a broad range of technologies, products and services, including the Barak-8, Air & Missile Defense System, multi mission radar (MMR), Harop- Loitering Munitions System, precision guided weapon systems and electro-optical sensors.
