Russian Federation : ROSNEFT inks completion deed with ENI on three offshore projects in RUSSIA

Rosneft has inked deal completion agreements on Russian shelf projects with Italy's Eni and Norway's Statoil at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Rosneft and Eni have completed formation of organizational structures to jointly implement offshore projects in the Barents Sea and the Black Sea, Rosneft said in a statement on its website.

Rosneft said, "Rosneft and Eni S.p.A., acting through their subsidiaries Rosneft JV Projects S.A. and Eni Energy Russia BV, signed the completion deed for the Russian offshore projects (regarding Fedynsky, Central Barents blocks in the Barents Sea and Western Chernomorsky block in the Black Sea)."

Rosneft and Statoil signed a completion deed on the development of Russian offshore blocks in the Barents Sea and in the Sea of Okhotsk: Lisyansky, Kashevarovsky, Perseevsky and Magadan.

Rosneft said, "Signing the completion deed confirms the formation of joint ventures, entering into final agreements and fulfillment of all conditions for completion."

The companies also signed a heads of agreement for joint pilot development of Domanic shale formations at 12 Rosneft license blocks in the Samara Region in the Volga Federal District. The Russian oil giant will hold 51 percent in the project, while Statoil will hold 49 percent.

Rosneft said that Statoil will provide financing of up to $60 million.
