National Prawn Company (NPC) has inked a first of its kind cooperation agreement with Kafa Charity at Al-Laith Province, to raise awareness about the harms that may result from smoking and drugs.

This awareness program, which is said to be the first of its kind at the city with the cooperation of a privately owned company, comes from the keenness of the two sides to offer awareness, educational and preventive courses to quit smoking and drugs.

General Manager of Kafa Charity, Abdullah Bin Ibrahim Alhadeerty, said, "We are very proud to start picking the fruits of this mutual cooperation with NPC that would be reflected positively on the employees of the company in particular and the people of the region in general. We also extend our sincere thanks to all the efforts that been made to activate the role of community partnership, which aims to improve the level of the awareness about the damages might cause by smoking and drugs."

Managing Director of NPC, Eng. Ahmed Bin Rasheed Al Ballaa, added : "We at the National Prawn Company are always keen to build such relationships to implement these kind of creative community service programs that really helps our society members to enhance their level of awareness and education about such serious subject.
We have confirmed at this MOU on our believes and faith of the sustainability of these partnerships, and we have formed our agreement with Kafa on long term bases that last for 3 consecutive years."
