Publish Date : 04-Jul-2013
UAE is planning to invest $25bn in gas projects.
The potential role of gas in the world energy mix rests on availability of frequent supplies at affordable prices.
Al Mazrouie warns that any shortage of gas supplies and increase in gas prices could negatively affect gas status as a reliable source of energy, prompting consumers to look for other alternative sources to cope with their demand.
Similarly, he noted, maintaining a balanced in world gas market could diversify gas uses and attract more investment for upstream and downstream sectors.
The UAE is projecting to invest nearly $25 billion on gas development projects in the coming 5 years to dig into new gas fields and increase gas output.
Various oil and gas UAE based companies invested in gas development and production projects in different countries.
