United Arab Emirates : EATON signs electrical solution agreement with SADARA

An agreement has been inked by the Eaton with Sadara Chemical Company, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical, to supply electrical equipment and services. Eaton is a diversified industrial manufacturer.

Motor control, power distribution solutions and engineering services to enhance the overall reliability and safety of Sadara's global, fully integrated chemical complex currently under construction in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia would be supplied by the Eaton under the multimillion dollar agreement.

The Sadara complex will be the world's largest integrated chemical facility ever built in a single phase. It will produce more than three million metric tons of value added chemicals and plastics to serve the rapidly expanding energy, transportation, infrastructure and consumer products sectors.

According to Frank Campbell, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa Region for Eaton's Electrical Sector, "Sadara will expand production of important chemical products and advance industrialisation, job creation and innovation. With more than a century of power system design experience and a comprehensive global network of engineering and manufacturing resources, Eaton is well positioned to help enhance electrical safety and reliability at this critical facility."

Electrical Sector of Eaton is contracted to supply custom electrical solutions to promote safe and reliable power distribution at the complex.

In addition, Eaton's Electrical Service and Systems division, which has one of the largest and most experienced teams of power system engineers in the industry, will provide Sadara with electrical system startup assistance and training.
