Publish Date : 30-Jul-2013

On 26th July, The National Agency of Private Investment (ANIP) in Luanda signed with local and foreign firms 24 investments contracts totaling more than Akz 14.5 billion (Usd 1.4 billion).

ANIP’s CEO, Maria Luisa Abrantes, and members of the managing boards of the companies, most of them connected to the industrial sector, services and civil engineering inked the agreements.

In the meantime, Maria Luisa Abrantes stated the investments accords penned signify a small part if compared with the requirements of the country.

However, she stated the above declared investments stand for a large number considering that there is still some resistance when one talks about Akz 100 million (Usd 1.0 million) as the minimum sum needed for investment in Angola.

The division of civil engineering leads the list of investments in Angola, followed by the division of service, with contracts inked with companies from such countries as Portugal, Sierra Leone, Holland, Kenya, China, India, Denmark and Virgins Islands.
