Japan,Philippines : MILF and JICA sign 3-year project for Bangsamoro capacity development

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) declared that it has inked a landmark three-year project with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for Comprehensive Capacity Development for the Bangsamoro.
The Project Documents was initialed by Mohagher Iqbal, chairman of the MILF peace panel and Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC), and Takahiro Sasaki, chief representative of JICA – Philippines.
Iqbal acclaimed the "landmark deal," which will culminate in 2016 geared at accomplishing institutional building for smooth transition, human resources development for the future Bangsamoro government officials, development planning (Blueprint for the Future), and improvement of service delivery.
He said, "This is indeed a landmark deal that the Bangsamoro can be proud of, illustrating at this early phase the real autonomy at work."
