Technip France (Technip) has awarded a contract to OCI Construction Group to execute greenfield and brownfield work at Sonatrach's Algiers Refinery in Sidi Arcine, nearly 15km from the Port of Algiers.

The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, Technip and OCI Algeria, a fully owned subsidiary of the OCI Construction Group, will take up certain civil works, paving works, underground piping along with associated brownfield construction work as part of the rehabilitation and adaptation of the refinery.

OCI Construction Group CEO, Osama Bishai stated that, "We are pleased to announce a new contract award in Algeria from our new client Technip. This recent contract award is a testament to our strong presence in the country. We are also very pleased to strengthen our existing relationship with a major client such as Sonatrach and look forward to building on our relationship further in the future."

Mainly, the Group deals in provision of international engineering and construction services on infrastructure, industrial and high-end commercial projects in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.
