The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) awarded a one year contract to Autre Porte Technique Global Inc. (APT Global) for the maintenance of the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT3).

Notice of award was issued by DOTC to APT Global representative Mario dela Cruz on Aug. 22 after completion of the bid evaluation and post-qualification process.

The notice states, "Based on the findings of the BAC (Bids and Awards Committee) pursuant to BAC Resolution No. P-GS-PB-2013-27, the contract for the MRT3 System Maintenance Provider entered into between DOTC-MRT3 and APT Global is hereby awarded to your company in the total amount of P685.04 million."

The railway service provider has partnerships with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Sumitomo, Kinki Sharyo, Pacific Consultants International, Transurb Technirail, STIB, and DAXI of Belgium.

The notice of award was approved by transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya with Transportation Undersecretary and BAC chair Jose Perpetuo Lotilla and DOTC-MRT3 officer-in-charge Honorito Chaneco.
