Singapore : BOUYGUES CONSTRUCTION's subsidiary DRAGAGES SINGAPORE bags €102m contract

Publish Date : 13-Sep-2013

Bouygues Construction subsidiary Dragages Singapore has secured a €102m contract to design and build a major residential complex in the centre of Singapore Island. The contract is with property developers CapitaLand Singapore Limited and Mitsubishi Estate Asia, partners in a joint venture.

Located in the Bishan neighbourhood, the project, includes the design and construction of two 37-storey towers, that would accommodate 694 apartments, a five-storey car park and a basement.

Complex's total floor area will be around 81,000m2 and will be certified Green Mark Gold Plus, which is considered as one of the highest levels of the Singapore label evaluating the environmental impact and energy efficiency of buildings.

Work is expected to begin in late October and will take around two and a half years to complete, which is scheduled in 2016.

Bouygues Batiment International chairman and CEO Olivier-Marie Racine stated that, "We are very pleased to have signed this contract and proud of property developer CapitaLand Singapore Limiteds continued confidence in Bouygues Construction. We have maintained a continuous presence in Singapore for some thirty years, and this gives us a strong commercial advantage."
