Three Victorian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies signed significant new agreements in Beijing today as part of the Victorian Coalition Government's 2013 Super Trade Mission to China.

Minister for Manufacturing David Hodgett announced the three agreements: between Victorian-based SmartTrans Ltd and 123 Education Group; another between Business Intelligence Technologies and China Advancement Association for Private Science and Technology Enterprises (CAAPSE); and the third between Victoria's Rectifier Technologies Pacific and Sichuan Yimikang Environmental Tech Co. Ltd, after witnessing their signings.

"I would like to offer my congratulations to SmartTrans Ltd, Business Intelligence Technologies and Rectifier Technologies Pacific on the realisation of these agreements," Mr Hodgett said.

"These agreements between Victorian companies and their Chinese partners are outstanding manifestations of Victoria's global reputation for the provision of ICT goods and services."

The agreement between SmartTrans Ltd and 123 Education Group will see Victoria's SmartTrans providing online and mobile services in a rollout of an early childhood learning program, developed by an internationally renowned and successful mobile application provider.

"The opportunity for Victorian ICT company SmartTrans to work on the rollout of this global phenomenon in the Chinese market is very exciting," Mr Hodgett said.

The second agreement is between Victoria's Rectifier Technologies Pacific and Sichuan Yimikang Environmental Tech Co. Ltd and will see Rectifier providing its RT15 Uninterruptible Power Supply system into the lucrative Chinese data centre market.

"Rectifier Technologies' RT15 is a high powered, high reliability and high efficiency switch mode rectifier module," Mr Hodgett said.

"As the requirement for electronic data rapidly expands, efficient and reliable power supplies, like that offered by Rectifier Technologies, are of increasing importance to ensure its reliable and sustainable storage.

"Rectifier Technologies' partnership with Sichuan Yimikang Environmental Tech Co. Ltd provides an outstanding foothold into the Chinese market which is expected to grow by around 20 per cent in the period to 2016."

In the third agreement, Business Intelligence Technologies and (CAAPSE) will collaborate to design, integrate and develop technology solutions for deployment across China.

Raghu Iyer, Founder and CEO of Business Intelligence Technologies said the company was delighted to enter into the collaboration with CAAPSE.

"This will accelerate adoption of Business Intelligence Technologies' products and services into the large and very important market in China," Mr Iyer said.

Mr Hodgett is in Beijing as part of the Victorian Government's 2013 Super Trade Mission to China, led by the Premier Denis Napthine.
