Economy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Temir Sariyev, stated "Russia and Kazakhstan are our main trade partners".
Customs Union accounts for 43.9 percent of total goods turnover with 140 countries. It accounts for 32.4 percent of exports and 47.8- of imports. The Russian Federation’s share in turnover of Kyrgyzstan is the largest one (27.1 percent). It is followed by Kazakhstan with 14.6 percent and Belarus -2.2 percent.
The total goods turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounts to $7,503 billion, while $3,292 of them - with CU countries.
As per Temir Sariyev, "Any change in the terms of trade with these countries will have a significant impact on almost every sector of the economy, on the budget, including employment and income," Sariyev said.
The minister said, "We are importing from these countries strategically important products: fuel, grain, timber, metals, so it is very important for the economy is that the country will be able to conduct duty-free import of strategically important goods, which are necessary for hydropower, oil and gas, construction, transport industry of the country".
