AUSTRALIA : Semb Marine wins US$100m contract

Publish Date : 19-Oct-2011

Rig builder Sembcorp Marine announced that its subsidiary had won a contract worth around US$100 million ($127 million) for module assembly work on a liquefied natural gas facility on Curtis Island, Australia.

The contract, awarded by Bechtel Overseas, may potentially increase to be in excess of approximately US$150 million.

Bechtel and SMOE will jointly manage the module assembly programme for the facility, scheduled to be completed in three years.

The contract is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings per share and net tangible assets of Sembcorp Marine for the year ending December 31, 2011.

SMOE provides its worldwide clientele with engineering and construction services for offshore fixed and floating facilities, specialized modules and modularization of onshore LNG plants.
