INDIA : Areva T&D India received Rs. 580 Million deal from BHEL for GIS package

The transmission business of Areva T&D India obtained Rs. 580 Million deal from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), for a Gas-insulated Substation (GIS) package.
As per this deal, Areva T&D will be responsible for manufacturing, engineering and deployment of 11 bays of 420kV GIS for BHEL\'s Hydro Project at Rampur. The advanced Gas-insulated Substations will combine extremely reliable spring operating mechanisms. It will be offered from company\'s world class Ultra High Voltage Switchgear factory at Paddapai.
