India : HCC JV secures Rs.903.83 Cr. contract from KARNATAKA NEERAVARI NIGAM

Karnataka Neeravari Nigam Ltd. has awarded a contract to Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd. (HCC). HCC secured the contract in joint venture with GVPR Engineers Ltd. (GVPR).
The Rs.903.83 crore deal is to divert flood water from Sakleshpura (West) to Kolar/Chikkaballapur (East) under Yettinahole Diversion Project-Package-4.
HCC holds 50% in the total value of the contract, i.e. Rs.451.92 crore. The project is set to complete in 36 months.
The work scope comprises survey, investigation, design and construction of Weir-2, Weir-6, Weir-7, Jack Well-cum-Pump Houses, Water pipelines at four different sites linking to common Delivery Chamber-1 (DC-1) and also Delivery Chamber-5 (DC-5) from Weir-2, 110kV electrical substations with mechanical works including Vertical Turbine Pumps designed for a maximum pump head up to 90 metres.
Furthermore, the scope of work comprises operation and maintenance for a period of five years following successful commissioning of the scheme and securing environmental clearance and other statutory clearance from competent authorities on turnkey basis.
