UNITED STATES : Rimage Wins a $2.36M Order from a U.S. Federal Agency
Publish Date : 20-Oct-2011
Rimage Corporation announced that a federal law enforcement agency placed an order worth $2.36 million for Rimage’s Digital Evidence Solutions. The order was for equipment mostly delivered in the third quarter and service to be delivered over the next three years.
The order includes disc publishing systems and related Digital Evidence Solution software and accessories. They will be used to distribute and preserve digital evidence in offices nationwide.
Rimage’s Digital Evidence Solutions automate the collection and management of many sources and forms of digital evidence to optical media for distribution and long-term preservation.
Sherman Black, president and chief executive officer, said “We previously anticipated that Rimage’s Digital Evidence solutions would be a factor in sustaining our revenues in disc publishing, and this order substantiates our investment in this targeted market.”
The agency is purchasing these systems to streamline workflows for preservation and distribution of specific electronic surveillance data, and to create a stable, flexible and sustainable archiving plan. The Rimage Digital Evidence Solution is being used with Blu-ray Discs™ for long-term archiving and portability needs. This is the only media capable of supporting these agency’s advanced retention needs.
“Improving management of digital evidence is critical to our law enforcement customers,” said Christopher Wells, Rimage vice president of marketing and strategy. “The Rimage Digital Evidence Solution enhances their daily evidence workflow efficiency, while enabling a sustainable archiving strategy.”
