France : EXOSUN gets FONROCHE ENERGIE contract to supply trackers for 12MW solar plant in FRANCE
Publish Date : 19-Mar-2014
Fonroche Energie has awarded a contract to Exosun to supply solar trackers for 12MW of trackers and product-associated services for the 'Le Betout' PV plant in South West France.
The company will be responsible to supply 81 Exotrack HZ horizontal single-axis solar trackers, to support 40,640 panels and around 850,000 ft˛ of PV modules, orienting them toward the sun for significant expansion of output all over the year in comparison to fixed-tilt structures.
The plant is financed by Capenergie 2. Its installation will be carried out over an area of nearly 79 acres in Saint-Helene, near Bordeaux. It would likely produce 16,900 MWh annually, electricity estimated to be sufficient to power 4,828 homes.
Fonroche Energie will take up work as construction contractor and Exosun will be responsible to support Fonroche during the construction, commissioning and operation phases of the plant, ensuring the optimal performance of the Exotrack HZ.
Exosun President and Founder Frederic Conchy said, "We are very pleased with this first partnership with Fonroche. The confidence granted to us by both our client and the project's funder, Omnes Capital, reflects the quality of our technology and support service capabilities. We aim to optimize the plant's profitability and obtain a rapid return on investment."
Installation of tracker is scheduled to begin from this month and commissioning is expected during third quarter of 2014.
