Belgium,United States : AAR finalizes deal to acquire inventory and customer contracts from SABENA TECHNICS

The US-based aviation support company AAR has made an announcement on its proposed acquisition of inventory and customer contracts from Sabena technics Brussels.

The company has further revealed that the deal is expected to be accomplished in the first week of next month.

Its agreement with Sabena technics comprises the existing power-by-the-hour support for 13 clients, management of which will be done by the Aviation Supply Chain unit of AAR from its Brussels Airport-based new facility.

Apart from the support provisions for the clients that will move from Sabena technics, this 24/7 facility will support AOG and other components needs for current customers of AAR across the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The Chairman and CEO of AAR CORP - David P. Storch stated, "As AAR expands its global Aviation Supply Chain business, we recognize the importance of augmenting our support for the critical Europe, Middle East and Africa region."

"This deal positions AAR for growth in an expanding market."

The American company, a commercial aviation and defense contractor, has augmented its worldwide supply chain infrastructure in past couple of years, and currently has operations in the places of Chicago, Singapore, Indianapolis, Toronto, Amsterdam and Brussels.

The Chairman and CEO of Sabena technics - Rodolphe Marchais revealed, "We were pleased to find a long-term solution for our customers who will benefit from AAR's robust supply chain offering."

The Group Vice President of Supply Chain for AAR - John Holmes stated, "The launch of our new supply chain hub establishes a rotable pool operation covering key platforms such as A330, A320, and 737NG aircraft for current and future customers."
