CANADA,UNITED STATES : CAE Inc. bags C$125 million military deals

CAE Inc., leading global provider of simulation and modeling technologies and integrated training solutions for civil aviation industry and defense forces, has received over C$125 million military deals form defense forces of seven countries.
CAE stated that, the deal covers the development of two multi-crew simulators for a new undergraduate program of US Navy.
The company will carry out additional work for US Air Force under KC-135 Aircrew Training System deal. CAE also received two deals from undisclosed clients in US and Middle East, to develop and produce a total of seven operational flight trainers.
Martin Gagne, President of Military Products, Training and Services division at CAE, said, “Our defense customers in the U.S. and internationally continue to invest in simulation-based training solutions to maintain readiness and lower costs. CAE\'s expertise across highly relevant defense platforms with long program lives will drive contract opportunities today and in the future. As well, our ability to serve our customers throughout the program life-cycle positions us well for upgrades and enhancements to existing training devices.”
Navy Undergraduate Military Flight Officer Multi-Crew Simulators will be developed on CAE\'s mission crew trainer and tactical mission trainer products. They will be offer student flight officers with the awareness and skills needed to operate in a cooperative, network-centric warfare environment.
As per the deal for Air Force KC-135 Aircrew Training System, CAE will modernize 11 KC-135 OFTs to boost reliability and maintainability of simulator. It will also make sure concurrency with the actual aircraft. Air Force has implemented an option for second year of aircrew training services of CAE USA as key contractor on KC-135 ATS program.
