United States : GA Telesis Engines Services (GATES) Signs Materials Agreement with GE Aviation

GA Telesis has signed an agreement with GE Aviation for a three-year materials agreement to provide CF6-80C2 replacement engine parts for GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a full-service engine overhaul and repair facility based in Helsinki, Finland. The agreement comprises a full service material offering for CF6-80C2 engine overhauls.
"We are pleased to finalize this agreement with GE; our strategy from the beginning has been OEM centric and this relationship complements our overall GATES material strategy," said Basil Papayoti, president of GATES.
GATES provides comprehensive commercial engine services, including overhaul of GE CF6-80C2 and CFM International* CFM56-5B/5C engines, and repair and modification with the capacity to overhaul up to 200 engines per year. GA Telesis Engine Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of GA Telesis, LLC.
"GE Aviation has maintained a strong relationship with GA Telesis since the company's founding in 2002, and the materials agreement with GATES is a natural extension of this relationship," said Tom Levin, general manager the GEnx/CF6 engine lines for GE Aviation.
