MALAYSIA : ExxonMobil secures US$75m deal

Malaysian subsidiary of ExxonMobil has entered into a deal worth around US$75m. The fabrication contract is been inked with Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE).
As per the agreement, MMHE will be responsible for constructing two platforms at the Telok Gas development, off the coast of the state of Terengganu. Each of the platform is likely to generate 450m ft3/d of gas.
The construction is expected to take around 18 months.
Starting from early 2013, the company intends to take up drilling of 14 development wells in the area, which will contribute to the Malaysia\'s power and industrial needs.
