The company will renovate the existing building. Prior to that, it will set up Critical Care Unit for its permanent home. Rob Bailey, who recently led BAM’s works at Glan Clwyd Hospital, will administer the construction team.

“We are planning to start on site in Spring 2012. This is a challenging build in a built-up area on one of the largest hospital sites in the country. The development will increase the existing footprint by around 3,500m2. The new building will be situated between two existing buildings over two floors with a plant room. We’re delighted to be the preferred bidder and we’re working closely with the user departments to progress the detailed design for the scheme,” said Bailey.
