Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) awarded contract to Four different lowest bidders to supply 2 lacs 15 thousand metric tons (MTs) of Urea valued at $538 per metric ton C&F. TCP has said that the contracts were awarded in response to its world-wide gallop tender notice issued on October 21.

The proceedings of the Tender Award Committee was attended by the representative of the Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) on special invitation. Totally ten responsive bidders took part in the tender on October 28, and quoted prices starting from $538 to $559 PMT (C&F).

The lowest bid of $ 538 PMT for 50,000 MTs only which came from M/s. SABIC, complying with the technical specifications and evaluation criteria marked out in the tender document was accepted. Three more bidders, who had offered offers higher than the least in addition supported match the most reduced cost of $ 538 PMT, for the amounts offered by them. They are M/s. Liven Agrichem PTE Singapore (50,000 MTs), M/s. Gavilion Fertilizers LLC Dubai (45,000 MTs) and M/s. Incitec Pivot Ltd., Australia (70,000 MTs). Grant letters were issued to them also.
