UNITED STATES : CSC inks worth $800 million deal BAE

US outsourcer CSC has inked worth $800 million (Ł514 million) five year IT services renewal deal with Defence contractor BAE Systems, for a 17-year extension for an existing pact due in April.
According to Dean McCumiskey, BAE Systems chief information officer, the agreement would offer \"value for money\" in a changing defence environment.
The extension includes large range of IT management services for the company, one of the UK\'s largest defence suppliers. The initial deal was one of the UK\'s largest outsourcing contracts with a single supplier. However, the next renewal term was shorter, for seven years, before this five year term.
The agreement covers service desk, collaborative services, end user computing, mainframe, physical and virtual servers, storage and networking, service request fulfillment, project services, and application maintenance and support.
