UNITED KINGDOM : Gatwick Airport grants Ł3 million improvements contract to Vinci Construction

Gatwick Airport has awarded a contract worth Ł3 million to Vinci Construction UK to change and enhance the security facilities for passengers within the North Terminal.
The contract scope of the work includes adapting the existing search and retail area to form a new 4-lane facility, and will also build a mezzanine above the area with office space and private search areas.
The contract also include the modification of two existing security lanes to facilitate integration with the new four lane system, including the refurbishment of existing retail shop fronts.

We welcome the challenge to work on such a high profile site which will result in better facilities for the airport and passengers,” said Jason Griffiths, Operations Director at VINCI construction UK\'s Air Division.
