NORWAY : Subsea 7 gets $75 million contract for Total E&P Atla field

Subsea 7 stated that it has been awarded a contract worth $75 million for subsea construction, umbilicals, risers and flowlines at Total E&P Atla field, formerly known as the David field, is located 20 kilometres northeast of the Heimdal field.

Under the contract, Subsea 7 will focused on management, engineering, procurement and installation of a seven kilometre flexible flowline on an existing pipeline from the Byggve to Hemidal fields and will also deploy a seven kilometre umbilical between the Atla Production Guide Base (PGB) and the Byggve PGB.

The company will also offer survey activities, tie-in and precommissioning activities and other associated services.

Subsea 7 noted that it will start engineering and project management work immediately, while offshore operations expected to commence in Q2 of 2012.
