UNITED STATES : CGI gets US$55.7 million deal from CCIIO

CGI Federal Inc. (CGI), a completely owned US operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., obtained a new deal from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO).

As per this 2-year deal, CGI will be responsible to construct US government’s federally facilitated health insurance exchange - Federal Exchange. This deal also has three, one-year option periods. This deal has an expected worth of US $93.7 million for base period while US$55.7 million deal is offered to CGI.

With this, CGI will collaborate with CCIIO to develop and execute Federal Exchange as per the regulation of Affordable Care Act which stipulates the formation of a competitive health insurance marketplace for States and territories to provide insurance coverage to 34 million additional Americans.
