UNITED STATES : Lockheed Martin bags $30.6 million contracts from Naval Surface Warfare Center

Publish Date : 09-Dec-2011

The Naval Surface Warfare Center has awarded two contracts to Lockheed Martin.

The two contracts secured by Lockheed Martin are worth around $30.6 million for the supply of Target Sight System (TSS) or US Marine Corps’ AH-1Z Cobra attack helicopter fire control system. Through this contract the company is also to supply spare units and parts to TSS.

Joseph Butera, Missile and Fire control business’s senior program manager of airborne system, Lockheed Martin, stated, “TSS provides positive combat identification at safe standoff ranges. The system allows AH-1Z aviators to confidently engage the threat and return safely to base.”
